Hello and welcome to the virtual version of CAT Cattle Company. Cassi and I are extremely excited to give you a tour of our little piece of the cattle industry. CAT Cattle Co. has been built upon lifelong excitement and enthusiasm for the cattle industry. We are focused on breeding and producing Angus cattle that will work in all aspects of our industry. We believe that the commercial cattleman needs breeding animals that produce low birth weight/easy calving seed stock that will hit the ground running.  These same animals need to come in a fairly moderate package and be easy fleshing to increase efficiency cost to the producer. To accomplish this, our cattle have to be sound-footed, functional, early maturing and the females must milk. It is also our belief that the carcass traits of our animals, which we understand is extremely important in our industry, are simply direct bi-products of these basic ideals.

As far as the show cattle side of our operation, we have a simple thought that we think describes this best. The very best show cattle are simply those that exceed the expectations of the commercial cattlemen while being visually pleasing to look at.  To accomplish this CAT Cattle Co. strives to add correctness of lines, sleek cool front-ends and hair to our production animals.

You may have noticed that “Muscle” has not been mentioned, there is a reason for that. We believe it deserves its own category. One of my greatest mentors in this industry, who was also in my estimation one of the greatest ambassadors for our breed, was Robert (Bob) Laflin I.  Those of you that knew him also probably knew about his passion for our breed and he always told me that it doesn’t matter what aspect of the cattle industry you are involved in “muscle is what puts steaks on the table”.  CAT Cattle Co. has taken this to heart. We believe, above all else, we must produce stout, muscular cattle to ensure a quality end product for the consumer.

Thank you for visiting and if we haven’t met you in person yet, we hope to soon.
